Turkish police on Wednesday dispersed a group in Istanbul’s Beyoğlu Istiklal Street while they attempt to protest graft and bribery scandal, which was revealed after police operation held on December 17, 2013.

Gathering in front of a bank branch in downtown Istanbul, a group of youngsters tried to protest Turkish government on the anniversary of history’s worst ever graft facts that were revealed as a result of December 17 police raids of previous year. As the protestors started to shout slogans and throw fake dollars around, riot police teams intervened at the group. Protestors were immediately manhandled and detained by the police.

Despite being detained, protestors kept to shout slogans saying “Killer, thief AKP”. The harsh intervention of security forces caught on tape by amateur cameras.
