A police officer was martyred on Tuesday during operations launched against PKK terrorists in Turkey's southeastern province of Sirnak, said local officials.
According to the Sirnak Governorate, five PKK terrorists were killed during the operations.
The PKK - considered a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and EU - resumed its armed campaign in late July.
