Pope Francis Officially Welcomed By Turkish President

Pope Francis, the religious leader of the world's Catholics was officially welcomed by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the courtyard of the Presidential Ak Palace after he visited the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk soon after his arriving of Turkey.

A welcoming ceremony was held at newly- built Ak Palace where Turkish and Vatican’s national anthem were recited with fire 21-gun salute. Soon after Pope Francis saluted ceremonial soldiers, delegations of the two countries were introduced reciprocally by Pope and Erdoğan.
