Pre-Election "Day Of Silence" Starts In Azerbaijan

The allotted time for the campaign related to the municipal election in Azerbaijan, ended at 8:00 a.m. (GMT+4 hours).
Municipal election will be held Dec.23. Election campaign began Nov.30.

Election campaign starts 23 days before the election and ends 24 hours before the start of voting, according to the Article 75.2 of the Electoral Code of Azerbaijan.

Some 37,079 candidates have been registered in order to participate in the current municipal election. Some 18,790 of them belong to the 30 political parties, and 18,289 are non-party candidates. (Cihan/Trend az)
