President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, who were in Hatay for meetings, visited the Karakuş family, who are holding on to life in their new home at the 600 Housing Site after being rescued from the rubble in the earthquake.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli attended the delivery ceremony of the 455,000th disaster housing unit in the Antakya district of Hatay.
THEY VISITED THE EARTHQUAKE VICTIM FAMILY IN THEIR NEW HOME After conducting the lottery draw for disaster housing and the collective opening of completed investments, Erdoğan and Bahçeli visited the home of the Karakuş family, who live in the 600 Housing Site rebuilt after the earthquake, located in the Güzelburç neighborhood of Antakya, following their contacts and inspections.
"IF THEY HAD TOLD ME WHAT MY DREAM WAS, I WOULD HAVE SAID I WANT TO SIT AND CHAT WITH RECEP TAYYIP ERDOĞAN, AND MY LORD GAVE ME ACCORDING TO MY HEART" Ömer Karakuş, expressing that he and his family were rescued from the rubble, stated that his dream of chatting with President Erdoğan has come true, saying, "This is now 600 Housing Units, and I moved into my house in July. I have been living in my house for about 6 months. My house is very beautiful, very comfortable. May my Lord be pleased with our state, may my Lord be pleased with our state elders. Today we had a distinguished guest; our esteemed President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, MHP Chairman Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, our ministers, Hatay Metropolitan Mayor Mehmet Öntürk, and our Governor Mustafa Masatlı were our guests. It was a natural and beautiful conversation, it became an unforgettable memory for us. He honored us greatly. May my Lord be pleased with all of them, may no stone be placed under their feet. If they had told me what my dream was, I would have said I want to sit and chat with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and my Lord gave me according to my heart. I thank my Lord, what I wished for has come true. Thank God we have also moved into our home, what more can I ask from my Lord," he said.
"I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD HOST SUCH A GUEST IN MY HOME" Esra Nur Karakuş, expressing her happiness due to the visit, said, "Today we had distinguished guests. Our esteemed President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and MHP Chairman Mr. Devlet Bahçeli were our guests. We were very happy. I am very pleased with my new home, I like it very much. I never thought I would host such a guest in my home. Everything has been done beautifully and thoughtfully. May my Lord be pleased with those who contributed. We served Turkish coffee to our esteemed President," she said.
