President Erdoğan spoke with Russian President Putin. During the meeting, Erdoğan expressed Turkey's readiness to provide all kinds of support, including hosting peace negotiations, to achieve a dignified and lasting peace in the Ukraine-Russia war.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. In the Erdoğan-Putin meeting, Turkey-Russia bilateral relations, regional and global issues were discussed. Erdoğan stated during the meeting that Turkey is "ready to host negotiations on the Ukraine issue."

The statement made by the Communications Directorate is as follows;

Our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. In the meeting, Turkey-Russia bilateral relations, regional and global issues were discussed. President Erdoğan emphasized that cooperation between Turkey and Russia is crucial for resolving regional issues, that Turkey is closely following the process initiated to end the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, and that Turkey is ready to provide all kinds of support, including hosting peace negotiations, to ensure a dignified and lasting peace. President Erdoğan stated that the goodwill steps to be taken for commercial navigation safety in the Black Sea would contribute to the peace process, and that Turkey continues to do its part to prevent the Black Sea from becoming a conflict zone. President Erdoğan expressed that Turkey values cooperation with Russia on the Syria issue, that it is important for Turkey and Russia to work together to achieve lasting peace and stability based on Syria's territorial integrity, and that Turkey and Russia can work together to eliminate efforts that fuel ethnic and sectarian discrimination aimed at undermining Syria's unity and to completely lift sanctions against Syria. President Erdoğan stated that Syria's resources should be left to the Syrian administration, that Turkey supports the integration of the so-called "Syrian Democratic Forces" into the central government, and that it is vital for Syria's stability to completely eliminate the country as a suitable area for terrorist organizations.
