A group of protesters rallied in front of the Israeli embassy in Ankara on Friday and protested against Israel's ground operation in Gaza.
Protesters set fire to Israeli flags and chanted slogans against Israel. Several participants carried Palestinian as well as black Tawheed flags.
In addition, another group consisting of members of the Turkish Communist Party gathered at Kizilay Square in Ankara to demonstrate against Israel. Demonstrators marched towards the Israeli embassy while shouting "Killer Israel, Get out Israel" and "Palestinians are not alone."
Israel launched a major military offensive on the Gaza Strip on July 7 and stepped up its offensive on Thursday night to include ground operations inside the embattled coastal enclave.
The Palestinian Health Ministry said 271 Palestinians were killed and around 2,000 wounded.
