Retired soldiers gathered around the Parliament building have been protesting for 3 days against the lack of salary increases in the 2026 budget.

SECURITY FORCES DID NOT ALLOW

The demonstrators attempted to enter the building by advancing to the courtyard of the parliament during the evening when the general budget was being discussed. Security forces, which increased their measures around the Parliament, did not allow the retired soldiers to enter the Parliament building.
