A senior Turkish minister described Russian violation of Turkey's air space as "unacceptable" in a TV interview Tuesday.
Deputy Prime Minister Yalcin Akdogan addressed two incidents over the weekend in which Russian aircraft crossed the Syrian border in an interview with private news channel Kanal 24.
"Turkey's borders are also NATO's borders," he said, referring to Turkey's membership of the military alliance. He added: "Nobody should test either Turkey's strength or deterrence."
Moscow has claimed the violations were due to bad weather while NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said the incursions were not accidental. - Ankara
