Saudi Arabia on Wednesday reported one new fatality because of Coronavirus as well as a new virus infection.
The Saudi Health Ministry said on its website that a new Coronavirus fatality was registered in the western city of Ta'if, while a new infection was registered in the western city of Medina.
The new infection raises to 772 the number of people who contracted the deadly virus in Saudi Arabia since 2012, including 329 who died of it, whereas 431 recovered from it and 12 others are still receiving treatment.
Qatar's Supreme Health Council, meanwhile, reported a new Coronavirus contagion for a 34 Qatari national.
The council was reported by the official Qatari news agency as saying in a statement that the man suffered from fever for a week before he was transferred to the emergency section at Hamad Hospital.
This is the second Coronavirus infection to be reported in Qatar since November 2013.
The new infection also brings to 11 the number of people who had contracted the virus in Qatar since September 2012. Five people died of the virus in the Gulf state.
Also called the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome, Coronavirus was first reported in 2012 in Saudi Arabia. It has been found in camels in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and Egypt.
