Sakarya is counting down to become the second city to have a metrobus line after Istanbul. The works will be introduced following the first trip, which will take place on Sunday, June 29, at 6:00 PM, on the 16.5-kilometer section between the Governorate Junction and the Train Station Square.

IT WILL BE THE SECOND CITY AFTER ISTANBUL
Sakarya will be the second city in Turkey to start metrobus transportation after Istanbul. Mayor Alemdar, who has closely followed the investment realized by the Metropolitan Municipality with its own resources since day one, has not left his working colleagues, who have been working every night in the recent period, alone.
TRAFFIC-FREE LINE OF 19.5 KILOMETERS
When completed, the Metropolitan Municipality will connect the 19.5-kilometer line between the City Hospital and Adapazarı Gar Square with traffic-free and easy access. The first trip on the 16.5-kilometer line between the Valilik Junction and the Gar Square will be made together with the citizens in the first phase.
EVERY STOP IS EQUIPPED WITH 'SMART TECHNOLOGY'
As part of the preparations, the latest technology articulated vehicles have been equipped and prepared. On the other hand, the installations of the stations at points from the Yenikent Region to the city center have been completed. The Metropolitan Municipality is preparing everything for the first trip, equipping each stop with 'smart technology.'
FIRST RIDE ON SUNDAY AT 18:00
Mayor Yusuf Alemdar stated that they will carry out the first trip with citizens at 18:00 on Sunday evening at the Valilik Junction (in front of the mosque) and invited all of Sakarya to share in this excitement. Mayor Alemdar said, "We will make the first trip on Sunday evening, June 29, even before the promised date of June 30. We invite all of Sakarya to share in this pride and joy. This project, which we realized in 6 months with our own resources, will start a new era in city transportation. It will be a strong step in this transportation. Hopefully, our Sakarya will experience the same happiness in the Rail System as well. Our efforts will always be at the highest level, and with God's permission, we will not stop leaving our mark on our city with our actions."
PROMOTIONAL CEREMONY AT GAR SQUARE
Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality will carry out the first metrobus trip from the Valilik Junction to the city center at 18:00 on Sunday. The promotional ceremony will be held at Gar Square as the metrobus approaches the stop.
TESTS WILL CONTINUE FOR A WHILE LONGER
After the ceremony, test drives will continue for a while longer to ensure traffic and pedestrian habits are established and to check the systems on the metrobus line. Any issues that may arise as a result of this application will be identified and resolved. Drivers and pedestrians will get used to the metrobus transportation, and official trips will begin once the tests are completed.
