Tamer shared a video on social media addressing Peker and explaining the situation. Sedat Peker, who has remained silent for a long time, stated that he has no investments in Azerbaijan and has no connection to the threats.
Rıza Tamer, a singer known from the popular competition Popstar Türkiye, claimed through a post on his social media account that he was threatened. Tamer stated that the individuals threatening him used the name of organized crime leader Sedat Peker. Following the incident trending on social media, Sedat Peker, who had remained silent for a long time, made a statement regarding the matter.
"I KISS YOUR HANDS"
Recently, Tamer canceled his concert in Azerbaijan, explaining his reason with the words, "I decided not to perform when I saw that the Turkish lira was not accepted. I will not sing where the Turkish lira is not accepted." After this decision, he claimed that he was threatened by individuals who alleged that the venue for the concert belonged to Sedat Peker. Tamer, who published a video on his social media account, addressed Peker with the following words: "Dear Sedat brother, I kiss your hands. This concert I canceled was said to be your venue. They threatened us. I did not disrespect them. If someone is doing this using your name, I will be here for 4 hours. Come on."
STATEMENT FROM SEDAT PEKER
Following Rıza Tamer's statement, Sedat Peker made a written statement on his social media account, stating that he has no investments in Azerbaijan and has no connection to the mentioned threats.
"THERE IS NO THREATENING IN MY STYLE"
Peker included the following statements in his explanation: "I learned from news reports that a singer named Rıza Tamer was threatened using my name. I have no investments in Azerbaijan, including hotels. I do not know who threatened this brother of ours. Everyone who knows me knows that there is no threatening, scaring people, or insulting in my style. When the time and place come, I will do what needs to be done (of course within the framework of law and regulations). The involvement of my name in such incidents causes misunderstandings in society and disturbs me personally."
