In Antalya, Halit Can Sakman killed his wife Sevcan Demir Sakman, who is also a nurse and whom he married two months ago, with a knife. Halit Can Sakman, who was also injured in the throat, was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The incident occurred around 21:30 in an apartment on 6579 Street in the Gazi neighborhood of the Kepez district, where Halit Can (26) and Sevcan Demir Sakman (26), who got married two months ago, argued due to financial problems the day before. When Halit Can Sakman returned home in the evening, another argument broke out between the parties. According to allegations, Halit Can Sakman hit Sevcan Demir Sakman with a cleaver, claiming she had attacked him with a knife.
KILLED AND LEFT THE CLEAVER ON HER NECK
Upon receiving reports of screams and noise from neighbors, teams were dispatched to the address. The police team, which arrived at the scene shortly, found Sevcan Demir Sakman motionless on the floor in a pool of blood. It was determined that Sakman had a cut on her abdomen and had lost her life. It was established that Halit Can Sakman killed his wife and then left the cleaver on her neck. After the investigation, Sevcan Demir Sakman's lifeless body was taken to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institution for autopsy.
Halit Can Sakman surrendered to the Antalya Police Department's Homicide Bureau teams at the house. Sakman, who had a cut on his neck, was taken to Antalya City Hospital.
CONFESSED TO HIS FRIEND OVER THE PHONE
The police teams consulted Halit Can Sakman's friend H.E. H.E. stated that Sakman video-called him after the incident, saying he had killed his wife and that he was also injured. H.E. noted that there was blood on the floor as he saw through the camera and immediately called the 112 Emergency Call Center to report.
MOTHER CAME FROM SILIFKE
Havva Ünay, the mother of Sevcan Demir Sakman, who lives in the Silifke district of Mersin, came to Antalya with her relatives after hearing about the incident. Ünay, who was seen in great sorrow in front of the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institution in the morning hours, cried out, "How will I endure this, my child has been mutilated."
After the procedures, it was learned that Sevcan Demir Sakman's body, which was handed over to her relatives, would be taken to Hatay for burial.
It was stated that both Sevcan Demir and Halit Can Sakman, who are nurses, worked at a private hospital.
