Gunshots have been fired at the headquarters of the pro-Kurdish People's Democratic Party in the Turkish capital of Ankara, a party member said Saturday.
The shots were fired at around 4 a.m. local time from a white vehicle, HDP lawmaker Sirri Sureyya Onder said.
No casualties were reported in the incident, Onder added.
According to the HDP lawmaker, several bullet's struck the political party's insignia and flag in front of its headquarters.
"Security guards and police tried to intervene, however, the attackers managed to drive off," Onder said.
Police were looking for clues by reviewing footage from security cameras in the area, he added.
The HDP Central Executive Board released a statement strongly condemning the attack.
Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Yalcin Akdogan also condemned the attack. "We will always condemn such attacks regardless the source and its aims," Akdogan said.
