Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan made statements to Kadırga TV regarding the club's transfer activities and economic situation during his time in France.
WE HAVE REACHED THE END OF THE WOOH TRANSFER
Doğan stated that they have reached the end of the transfer for center-back Christopher Wooh, and for Jeremie Boga, they received an offer over 15 million euros and expressed that they went into waiting mode after submitting their offer. He mentioned that there were official offers for four players from the team, and they received a verbal offer for one player, saying, "If the offers we expect in these transfers come, we will evaluate them with our coach and make a decision."
''I CANNOT PAY 8-9-10 MILLION EUROS FOR ONUACHU''
Regarding Onuachu, Doğan pointed out the endless demands from the English club, stating, "I will not pay the figures like 8-9-10 that are being discussed. Last season they asked for 15 million euros, and we said we wouldn't pay that either. Trabzonspor does not have such money to give. The offer made, including bonuses, is between 5-6 million euros. Negotiations are still ongoing," he said.
''NOBODY IS TALKING ABOUT HOW THIS MONEY WILL BE FOUND''
Doğan emphasized the club's financial structure with the following statements:
"Everyone is saying something from the outside, and the demands never end. Everyone has an opinion and a view. The only thing that is not being talked about is how this money will be found. Nobody is discussing this. They don't want to talk about it. Despite my insistence, nobody wants to understand. There was a blockage in all of Trabzonspor's accounts due to the Banking Union. Even though we knew we would take this beating, we volunteered for this position so that Trabzonspor Club would not fall into bad days. We have been fighting since that day. As someone involved in this matter, I know this situation best. I had carried this entire burden alone in the previous 5 years. Since the day we arrived, there have been many unresolved issues. Trabzonspor could not even acquire its own stadium. It is in an occupying situation in its own facilities. They couldn't even extend the contract for Kartal. We have resolved all these problems during this period. These do not mean anything to the fans. We see that it does not mean anything to those who have been in management and have previously served as president, which is strange. Because our friends and acquaintances who have previously been in management should know this. Everyone has an opinion. We respect everyone's views. Trabzonspor has tax debts that have accumulated over 20-25 years. Trabzonspor still has no income of 1 TL. If we complete the capital increase process, our debt comes to around 2 billion. We will also get rid of the tax debt. If we hadn't paid this money, we would be talking about our rivals' debts of 20 billion TL. If I sell the players inside, I will almost close the debt. On the other hand, I have to compete with this club."
''WE HAVE LOST 5 MILLION EUROS''
Emphasizing that Trabzonspor lost 5 million euros from the stadium last year, the president of the burgundy-blues said, "While our rivals' stadium revenues are around 90 million euros, we are making losses. Under these conditions, we are trying to compete with teams with a budget of 200 million euros. Moreover, there is also the MHK. We have 25 points taken from us, which is why we couldn't be third," he said.
