Six forestry workers have been killed after high winds caused a tree to fall on the trailer they were travelling in, the Turkish Disaster Management Agency has said.
Fifteen workers were injured in the accident in Yigilca, Duzce province in northern Turkey, on Thursday. Turkish media reported that the dead were aged between 13 and 43.
A crew of 30 workers were in the tractor-towed trailer when a storm hit as they headed towards the village.
The Turkish Disaster Management Agency (AFAD) rescue team is at the scene and an investigation has been launched.
