With the inflation figures for April announced by TÜİK, the salary increase amounts for civil servants and retirees resulting from the four-month inflation difference have also become clear. Additionally, the amounts of social assistance received by thousands of people, including home care allowances, family support, disability pensions, and pensions for those aged 65 and over, will change from top to bottom.

For civil servants, retirees, and citizens receiving social assistance, July 2025 will be a significant turning point economically. With the announcement of the Turkish Statistical Institute's (TÜİK) data for April, the inflation figures for the first four months of the year have become clear. These figures directly concern not only public employees but also millions of people benefiting from the government's social assistance programs.

THE SALARY INCREASE RATE FOR CIVIL SERVANTS AND RETIREES HAS ALREADY EXCEEDED 12%

According to the inflation data announced by TÜİK, the inflation difference for civil servants and civil servant retirees for the first four months of the year has been determined as 6.94%. With the 5% collective bargaining increase that will come into effect in July, the increase rate in salaries has already reached 12.29%. This rate may further increase with the inflation figures for May and June. Although the inflation increase has been confirmed, the final increase rate to be applied to salaries and social assistance payments in July will be clarified with the announcement of TÜİK data for May and June. This makes the next two months extremely critical for millions of people.

Possible changes in social assistance based on the realized four-month and May and June inflation expectations are as follows:

SOCIAL ASSISTANCE PAYMENTS WILL ALSO INCREASE

In addition to salary increases, social assistance payments provided within the framework of social state policies will also be updated as of July. With the increase in inflation, significant rises are expected in many support items provided by the state to citizens in need.

HOME CARE SUPPORT WILL RISE TO 11,369 TL

The support payment provided to citizens caring for severely ill, elderly, or disabled individuals at home will also be affected by the increase. The home care monthly payment, currently 10,125 TL, will rise to 11,369 TL based on the four-month inflation data. Inflation rates announced in the coming months may lead to further increases in this amount.

OLD AGE PENSION WILL RISE TO 5,237 TL

The old age pension given to citizens over 65 without social security was currently at the level of 4,664 TL. However, based on calculations made considering the four-month inflation rate, this payment will rise to 5,237 TL in July. The exact increase rate will be clarified with the announcement of the inflation figures for May and June.

GRADUAL INCREASE IN DISABILITY PENSIONS

For those with a disability report of 40-69%: The current monthly payment of 3,723 TL will rise to 4,180 TL in July.

For those with a disability report of 70% and above: The payment of 5,585 TL will increase to 6,271 TL.

For those caring for a disabled person under 18: The support of 3,723 TL will reach 4,180 TL.

ASSISTANCE FOR TUBERCULOSIS AND SSPE PATIENTS IS INCREASING

The monthly assistance provided to tuberculosis and SSPE patients will also be restructured based on the civil servant salary coefficient. The current payment of 10,125 TL will rise to 11,369 TL in July, considering the four-month inflation increase.

SED ASSISTANCE WILL BE UPDATED ACCORDING TO EDUCATION LEVEL

The Social and Economic Support (SED) payments provided by the Ministry of Family and Social Services will be increased at different levels according to the educational status of the children. Calculations based on the four-month inflation data indicate that these supports will be restructured in July.
