The Istanbul Governorship announced the roads that will be closed and alternative routes due to the "July 15 Martyrs' Homeland Run" program, which will be held on the 9th anniversary of the treacherous coup attempt, in a written statement.
ROADS TO BE CLOSED ON JULY 15
The statement included the following: "As of 1:00 PM, the roads that will be closed until the end of the program are between the intersection of Güzeltepe Street and Çengelköy Street and the Beylerbeyi intersection; Çengelköy Street, Yalıboyu Street, and Abdullahağa Street will be one-way towards Üsküdar, and all roads leading to these streets, participation at Beylerbeyi Intersection - July 15 Martyrs Bridge."
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES
The statement also revealed that the alternative routes are "Abdullahağa Street and Yalıboyu Street towards Beykoz and Bosna Boulevard, Çengelköy Street, Beykoz and Bosna Boulevard, Beylerbeyi Küplüce Road, Beylerbeyi Çamlıca Street, Güzeltepe Street."
JULY 15 MARTYRS' HOMELAND RUN
The run, organized by the Turkey Youth Foundation (TÜGVA), Istanbul Governorship, Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate, and the Turkish Athletics Federation, will start at 10:30 AM from the July 15 Martyrs Fountain in Çengelköy.
Athletes, along with the relatives of martyrs and veterans among the participants, will run to the July 15 Martyrs' Shrine located at the entrance of the July 15 Martyrs Bridge on the Anatolian side.
