As the increase in oil prices continues to reflect on fuel prices, a rise of 2 lira and 7 kuruş in diesel prices is expected starting from tonight. With the price increase that will be reflected at the pump, the price of diesel in Istanbul will be sold at 57 lira and 56 kuruş per liter.
Citizens continue to monitor gasoline and diesel prices along with changes in Brent oil prices and currency rates.
AN INCREASE OF 2 LIRA AND 7 KURUŞ FOR DIESEL
As the rise in oil prices continues to reflect on fuel prices, an increase of 2 lira and 7 kuruş in diesel is expected starting from tonight.
WILL BE SOLD AT 57 LIRA AND 56 KURUŞ IN ISTANBUL
With the price increase that will take effect at midnight, the price of diesel will be 57 lira and 56 kuruş in Istanbul, while it will be sold at 58 lira and 58 kuruş in Ankara.
HOW ARE FUEL PRICES CALCULATED?
Fuel prices are calculated by refineries based on the average prices of refined products in the Mediterranean market, which includes Turkey, and changes in the dollar exchange rate. As a result of this calculation, the prices applied by distribution companies may show slight variations due to competition and freedom among companies and cities.
EPGIS HAD DECIDED NOT TO ANNOUNCE PRICE CHANGES
After the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) filed a complaint against EPGIS, the only union that explains changes in prices, the union announced that it would not share fuel price changes with citizens until the legal process is concluded.
