Algerian authorities have identified suspects in last week's abduction and beheading of a Frenchman, Justice Minister Tayeb Louh said Tuesday.
"Initial investigations have led to identifying some members of this terrorist group," Louh told the state television.
The minister, however, declined to give further details, saying that arrest warrants have been issued for the suspects.
Last week, the self-styled "Jund al-Khilifa" group claimed responsibility abducting and beheading Herve Gourdel.
The group said that the beheading had been in retaliation for recent French airstrikes against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) group, which recently seized large swathes of territory in Iraq and Syria.
