After Israel's attacks on Iran with 200 fighter jets, Syria, following Iraq and Jordan, also closed its airspace. The Israeli army was using Syrian airspace during the attacks on Iran.
The Israeli army struck Iran with 200 fighter jets at midnight. In the 300 airstrikes carried out, 20 critical figures were killed, including the Chief of Staff of Iran and the Commander of the Revolutionary Guards. Following Israel's attacks on Iran, Iraq, Jordan, and Syria successively closed their airspaces.
IRAQ CLOSED ITS AIRSPACE AT NIGHT
After the attacks, Iraq closed its airspace during the night, while Azerbaijan Airlines canceled its flights to Tehran and Tel Aviv. In a statement from AZAL, it was expressed that flights to Tehran, Tel Aviv, and Dubai on June 13 and 14 were canceled. The statement noted that the decision was made due to the developments in the region and security reasons.
ANOTHER MOVE FROM JORDAN
The Jordan Civil Aviation Regulatory Authority announced that the country's airspace was temporarily closed due to the tensions in the region following Israel's attack on Iran. In a statement published by the Jordanian official news agency PETRA, it was stated, "Due to the risks that may arise from the military tensions in the region, a decision has been made to temporarily close the country's airspace and suspend all incoming, outgoing, and overflying flights." The statement emphasized that the decision was made in accordance with international civil aviation safety agreements.
SURIA CLOSED ITS AIRSPACE
Following Iraq and Jordan, another country that closed its airspace was Syria. Israel was using Syrian airspace for its attacks on Iran.
