At least three people were killed in a Taliban attack in the Faryab province of northern Afghanistan, Friday.
Muhammad Naim Anderabi, security chief of Faryab said the clash occurred when the militants fired a rocket missile into a prison in Maymana, the capital of Faryab province.
The attack killed two watchman and one Taliban militant while another watchman was injured, according to Anderabi.
Taliban spokesperson, Qari Mohammad Yousef Ahmadi, took responsibility for the attack claiming that four watchman had died and that most of the prisoners had run away.
