TCDD requests a 25% increase for Marmaray.

TCDD Taşımacılık A.Ş. submitted a proposal to the Tariff Commission of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality for an increase in passenger transport fares on the Marmaray and suburban lines operating in Istanbul. The proposal requests a 25.49% increase in the current fare schedule. In line with this increase request, the fare for the longest distance on Marmaray will rise to 75 TL.

The Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD) Transportation Inc. submitted a proposal to the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Council Tariff Commission for an increase in passenger transport fares on the Marmaray and suburban lines operating in Istanbul.

REQUEST FOR A 25.49% INCREASE

In the proposal submitted to the IMM Council Tariff Commission, TCDD Transportation Inc. requested a fare change for passenger transport services on the Gebze-Halkalı Marmaray, Gayrettepe-Istanbul Airport-Halkalı, and Sirkeci-Kazlıçeşme suburban lines to be increased by 25.49% in accordance with the revaluation rate.

THE LONGEST DISTANCE FARE WILL RISE TO 75 TL

In line with the requested increase, the fare for the longest distance on Marmaray will rise to 75 TL. It is expected that this regulatory proposal prepared in accordance with TCDD Transportation Inc.'s request will be brought to the agenda of the IMM Council for a decision.
