10-year-old Lia quickly and effectively prevented her little brother Logan from choking while he was playing on the trampoline. While jumping on the trampoline, Logan ate a sour candy and began to choke. However, Lia calmly performed the Heimlich maneuver without panicking and saved her brother's life.

The incident occurred while the siblings were jumping on a trampoline in their backyard. During their play, they were eating sour candies. However, as soon as Logan put one of the candies in his mouth, he began to choke. He stopped trying to swallow the candy and became unable to breathe, holding his chest.
Lia immediately started to hit Logan's back without panicking and performed the Heimlich maneuver. When the candy was expelled, Logan was relieved and was able to breathe.
The footage was shared by the local police. The police explained that Lia learned this life-saving technique from a babysitting guide and her mother.
Her mother, Heather James, told NBC News:
"It was very hard to watch that moment, but I am proud of her."
Heather is a member of the special programs unit of the Lavon Police Department that offers life-saving courses. She was in the kitchen during the frightening incident, but Lia ran in and explained everything. Heather added that Logan also promised not to "jump on the trampoline with candy" again.
