In a scandalous incident in England, a 94-year-old female patient had money stolen from her home by an ambulance worker who was only sentenced to community service and avoided prison. The theft was captured on security cameras second by second.

The incident occurred last June in the town of Shrewsbury. The 94-year-old elderly woman fell in her garden and suffered a heart attack, prompting her family to call an ambulance. A four-member medical team, including 58-year-old paramedic Mark Titley, arrived at the home. The team attempted to resuscitate the woman for 20 minutes, but despite all efforts, the patient could not be saved.

After the woman's death, Titley claimed he entered the home looking for a do-not-resuscitate document. However, the security camera recorded a very different scene. The footage showed Titley rummaging through a plastic money box, counting the money, and taking £60 to put in his pocket. After committing the theft, Titley looked around, and when he noticed the camera, he hurriedly put the money back.

The deceased woman's son, Mike Drage, was shocked when he watched the security camera footage. "It made me sick," said Drage, who reported the incident to the police. "This man has embarrassed not only himself but all healthcare workers. He has disgraced humanity," Drage stated, finding the punishment insufficient.

Titley initially denied his guilt, claiming, "I took the money for safekeeping; I was going to give it to the family." However, he was forced to admit the theft in light of the evidence. The court sentenced him to 18 weeks in prison but suspended it, ordering 120 hours of community service and a £717 fine.

The victim's family stated that they found the decision inadequate. Drage said, "Is 120 hours of community service enough for this? I will ask the court to reconsider its decision." Titley retired from the ambulance service after the incident. Officials from the organization stated that this situation harmed the reputation of all healthcare workers. The incident has sparked new discussions about trust in the healthcare system in England.
