Schulman stated that the company's current financial structure limits its capacity to invest in the value proposition offered to customers, expressing that the entire company needs to be repositioned to focus on providing the best service to customers.
13,000 PEOPLE WILL BE LAID OFF
Noting that the company's operations need to be simplified, Schulman announced that they will begin laying off more than 13,000 employees and will significantly reduce outsourcing and other external labor costs.
