In an incident that occurred on Cumhuriyet Street in the Cebrail neighborhood of Kastamonu, it was determined by police teams that the panel van with license plate 20 AHT 022 was subject to seizure due to debt.
ANGRY CITIZEN SET HIS VEHICLE ON FIRE
After the police teams stated that the vehicle would be towed to the impound lot, the driver, identified as E.D., said he would take his belongings from the vehicle. The individual poured gasoline from a bottle he took from inside the vehicle onto the van and set it on fire. It was heard that the citizen who burned his vehicle said at that moment, "Take it wherever you want, they have ruined our lives."
FIRE BRIGADE TEAMS INTERVENED
While the police teams requested health and fire brigade teams to the scene, the individual left the vehicle and fled the area. The fire brigade teams that arrived at the scene began working to extinguish the fire. The fire was quickly extinguished with the intervention of the teams. There were no casualties or injuries in the incident, but the vehicle was rendered unusable. The police teams initiated a search to capture the fleeing driver. The individual surrendered to the police station some time after the incident.
