A debt-related issue in Pendik, Istanbul ended in bloodshed. The argument that took place yesterday around noon quickly escalated into an armed fight. In the incident, contractor Aykut Karagöz lost his life, while his colleague Hamza K. was captured with injuries.

In the Sülüntepe neighborhood of Pendik, a dispute arose between 45-year-old contractor Aykut Karagöz and his 37-year-old employee Hamza K. over a debt. Hamza K., who left the room, returned shortly after. At that moment, Karagöz, who took two of his guns from the drawer, opened fire on his worker.
ONE OF THE WEAPONS WAS SEIZED
According to a report by Ekol TV; during the struggle that ensued, Hamza K. seized one of the weapons and fired at Karagöz. After both parties were injured in the incident, Aykut Karagöz died despite all interventions at the hospital. Hamza K. was taken to the hospital with injuries to his shoulder and leg.
CRIMINAL RECORDS TURNED OUT TO BE EXTENSIVE
In the investigation conducted by the police teams, 4 empty cartridges of different calibers, 1 bullet, and two unlicensed handguns (HS2000 and SIG SAUER brands) along with loaded magazines were seized at the scene. It was learned that both individuals had criminal records, with Karagöz having 5 and Hamza K. having 8. Murder suspect Hamza K. was detained by the police. A comprehensive investigation into the incident has been initiated.
