It was reported that the bag contained a Department of Homeland Security access badge, blank checks, and approximately $3,000 in cash. According to a statement from the Secret Service, U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem had her bag stolen by an unidentified person wearing a mask while dining at a restaurant in Washington.

HER BAG CONTAINED A MINISTRY ACCESS BADGE

Security camera footage from the restaurant revealed that the suspect took the bag and left the premises. It was learned that the bag contained Secretary Noem's driver's license, medications, house keys, passport, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) access badge, makeup items, blank checks, and approximately $3,000 in cash. Following the incident, the Secret Service launched an investigation to prevent the unauthorized use of the stolen items.
