AK Party Istanbul Deputy Süleyman Soylu strongly reacted to allegations that disaster funds were used in the construction of a cultural center named after him. In a statement on his social media account, Soylu said, "Don't you ever get tired of lies?"
DÜZCE MUNICIPALITY ALSO DENIED THE ALLEGATIONS
The allegations claimed that disaster funds were transferred to the construction of the "Süleyman Soylu Cultural Center" in Düzce. However, Düzce Municipality stated in a statement on its social media account that the building does not belong to the municipality and emphasized that its name is not "Süleyman Soylu Cultural Center."
"I DID NOT WANT MY NAME TO BE GIVEN TO ANY PLACE"
After the allegations, Soylu stated that his name has not been used in any project, saying, "Don't you ever get tired of lies? My name has been proposed to be given to dozens of places until today. However, as a personal decision, I did not want my name to be given to any place. I have personally requested the removal of my name from many places where it was given."
