The construction mobilization of the century has reached its conclusion. With the final ceremony titled "Construction of the Century: Turkey's Success - 455 Thousand Homes Completed," which will be held on December 27 with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Hatay, the total number of completed homes and workplaces will reach 455,357.

PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN WILL HAND OVER THE KEYS
On December 27, a program themed "The Construction of the Century: Turkey's Success: 455 Thousand Houses Completed" will be held on Atatürk Street, where the symbolic structures of reconstruction have risen in Hatay, which suffered heavy destruction in the earthquake.
In addition to earthquake-affected families, cabinet members, members of parliament, mayors, representatives of public institutions and organizations, institutions and organizations that contributed to the construction mobilization of the century, and names from the business, art, and sports communities have been invited to the key handover ceremony to be held by President Erdoğan.
During the ceremony, live connections will be made for key handovers in Malatya and Adıyaman, and a lottery will be held in Ankara at the AFAD General Directorate for the completed houses and workplaces.
157 INVESTMENTS WILL ALSO BE PUT INTO SERVICE
157 completed investments will also be put into service during the ceremony. Among these investments, there are 84 educational buildings, including primary and secondary schools.
THE NUMBER OF COMPLETED CONSTRUCTIONS WILL REACH 455,357
In the 42 days following the 9th lottery ceremony held in Adıyaman on November 15, 105,179 more houses and workplaces were completed. Thus, the construction mobilization of the century will be completed with a total of 455,357 independent units, including 367,995 houses, 65,672 village houses, and 21,690 workplaces.
During the ceremony on December 27, the lottery will be drawn for 692 houses and workplaces in Adana, 4,833 in Adıyaman, 27 in Bingöl, 887 in Diyarbakır, 2,568 in Elazığ, 1,620 in Gaziantep, 55,681 in Hatay, 22,081 in Kahramanmaraş, 224 in Kayseri, 308 in Kilis, 11,367 in Malatya, 3,357 in Osmaniye, 1,333 in Şanlıurfa, and 201 in Tunceli.
After the ceremony on December 27, when the construction mobilization of the century will be completed, the number of houses and workplaces built in the earthquake zone will rise to 455,357.

The construction mobilization of the century was initiated in 11 provinces at 3,481 construction sites in 174 different areas under the coordination of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, the Housing Development Administration (TOKİ), the Urban Transformation Directorate, Emlak Konut GYO, and the General Directorate of Construction Works, following the earthquakes of magnitude 7.6 and 7.7 that occurred on February 6, 2023.
Under the coordination of the ministry, historical bazaars, city centers, and the squares of the four cities that were destroyed have also been rebuilt and revitalized in cooperation with TOKİ, Emlak Konut GYO, the General Directorate of Construction Works, and the Urban Transformation Directorate. Iconic mosques of the city, such as the Habib-i Neccar Mosque in Hatay, the Ulu Mosque in Adıyaman, and the Söğütlü Mosque in Malatya, have also been restored through these square projects.
Infrastructure work is being carried out in the earthquake zone covering 11,000 kilometers, which is equivalent to the length of Turkey's circumference. The damaged wastewater, rainwater, and drinking water lines of the cities are being renewed.
