A.H., a reporting judge serving at the Council of State, was found shot in the head in the hotel room where he was staying in Mardin during the holiday. While the judge was taken to intensive care for treatment, an investigation was initiated regarding the incident.

Administrative Judge A.H. (42), who works at the Council of State, started staying at a hotel in the Artuklu district of Mardin due to the Kurban Bayramı holiday. Upon hearing gunshots from his hotel room, hotel staff went to check and found A.H. shot in the head.

IN INTENSIVE CARE

Health and police teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. After the initial intervention at the scene, A.H. was taken to a private hospital by ambulance. While A.H. is being treated in intensive care and remains in critical condition, an investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.

STATEMENT FROM THE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE

The Ministry of Justice stated that reports claiming "the Administrative Judge at the Council of State was attacked with a firearm" do not reflect the truth, saying, "Administrative Judge A.H. attempted suicide in his hotel room in Mardin with a licensed firearm, and was intervened by 112 Emergency Service teams and transferred to Mardin Research Hospital. His life-threatening condition continues. Reports presented as a shooting attack are not accurate."
