MHP Kahramanmaraş Deputy Zuhal Karakoç Dora and her daughter Ahen visited State Bahçeli, who underwent heart surgery, to wish him a speedy recovery. During the visit, the MHP deputy's daughter Ahen requested the lifting of the access ban imposed on the gaming platform Roblox. Bahçeli responded, "Let's put this issue on our agenda then."
On February 6, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli underwent heart valve surgery and returned to work on April 4 by visiting the grave of Alparslan Türkeş after 66 days. MHP Kahramanmaraş Member of Parliament Zuhal Karakoç Dora and her daughter Ahen, the winner of the April 23rd 12-Year TBMM Cup Tennis Tournament, visited Devlet Bahçeli to convey their get well wishes.
THE ROBLOX REQUEST HAS COME
MP Dora announced the visit on her social media account with the words, "Dear children, good news," and shared the following:
"When my daughter Ahen Dora went to kiss the hand of Grandfather Devlet, she brought up a problem that you all are concerned about by saying, 'If our Leader does it, he can do it.' She explained that Roblox, the game and game development platform, provides children with opportunities for socialization, improving their foreign language skills, and developing strategies in games, positively affecting their intelligence development, and that completely shutting down Roblox is not a solution; it could be reopened with an age limit and restrictions on harmful content. Our esteemed Chairman said, showing great interest, 'Then let's put this issue on our agenda.' We continue to work not for the upcoming elections, but for future generations and together with our generations."
WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure announced on August 7 that the online gaming platform Roblox had been blocked in Turkey. The decision was made by the Adana 6th Criminal Court of Peace as a result of an investigation conducted by the Adana Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
The court had issued a blocking decision on the grounds that there were contents on the platform that could lead to the exploitation of children. After the decision was published via UYAP, it was implemented by the Information Technologies and Communications Authority (BTK).
