As part of the drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, detention warrants were issued for 22 individuals. In operations carried out in Muğla, Adana, and Antalya, which are centered in Istanbul, 20 suspects were detained. While apprehension procedures are ongoing for one suspect, it was determined that another suspect is already in prison. During searches at the addresses, drugs and related equipment were seized.
As part of the drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, detention orders were issued for 22 suspects for crimes such as "providing a place to facilitate the use of narcotic or stimulant substances," "purchasing, accepting, or possessing narcotic or stimulant substances," and "promoting and facilitating prostitution."
ONE IN PRISON, ONE AT LARGE
In operations carried out in Muğla, Adana, and Antalya centered in Istanbul, 20 suspects were captured and detained. It was reported that one of the suspects is in prison, while capture operations are ongoing for another.
STATEMENT FROM THE ISTANBUL CHIEF PUBLIC PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE
In a statement made by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the following was noted:
"As part of the investigation conducted by our Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Smuggling, Narcotics, and Economic Crimes Investigation Bureau; regarding the crimes of manufacturing and trafficking narcotic substances, facilitating the use of narcotic or stimulant substances; providing special places, equipment, or materials; taking measures to hinder the capture of users; purchasing, accepting, or possessing narcotic or stimulant substances for use; or using narcotic or stimulant substances and promoting and facilitating prostitution, detention, search, and seizure orders have been issued for 22 suspects. On December 24, 2025, as part of the simultaneous operation carried out by the Istanbul Police Department in Istanbul, Muğla, Adana, and Antalya, it was understood that one suspect was in prison, 20 suspects were captured and detained, and capture operations are ongoing for one suspect. During the searches conducted at the suspects' residences, cocaine, marijuana, and devices used for consuming narcotics were seized. The investigation is ongoing with confidentiality and diligence."
