A new development has occurred in the investigation regarding the murder of 9-year-old Yasemin Yıldırım in the Ergani district of Diyarbakır. Teams from the district police department noticed bloodstains on the shoes of her female cousin, M.Ç. An examination conducted by the Forensic Medicine Institute revealed that the bloodstains belonged to Yasemin. The procedures for M.Ç., who is currently in custody, are ongoing.
The family of Yasemin Yıldırım, who lives in the Mahirkent Site in the Kemertaş neighborhood of Ergani district and had not heard from her in the evening hours, reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Many police teams were dispatched to the area following the report.

The police began their search efforts from the site where the Yıldırım family resides. A small child was found motionless in the stairwell on the 2nd floor of the building next to the one where the Yıldırım family lives. Health teams determined during their examination that Yasemin had been stabbed to death. Yasemin's lifeless body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution for an autopsy. An investigation has been launched regarding the incident, and one suspect has been detained. The suspect's processing at the police station is ongoing.
