A man who stabbed his 8-month-pregnant wife to death in Kastamonu and stayed in the same house with her body for more than 10 days has been arrested. When reporters asked him outside the courthouse, "Did you kill your wife?" he responded, "I did not kill my wife." When asked, "Are you regretful?" he replied, "I didn't do it; it will come out soon."

After killing his 8-month pregnant wife in Kastamonu, the man who stayed in the same house with her corpse for more than 10 days was arrested by the judicial authorities. The murder suspect stated outside the courthouse that he did not kill his wife and that everything would come to light soon.

The incident occurred on April 21 in the İnönü neighborhood on Arnavut Street in Kastamonu in the morning hours. According to the information obtained, residents of the building called the 112 Emergency Call Center after noticing a foul smell coming from the apartment. Following the report, fire crews were dispatched to the apartment. The fire crews entered the house as a result of their work. The teams encountered the corpse of a pregnant woman in the house. Subsequently, police, health teams, and crime scene investigation teams conducted examinations in the house. It was determined that the corpse belonged to 23-year-old 8-month pregnant Elif Civil.

It was determined that Elif Civil was killed by knife wounds to her body, and it was learned that the corpse had been in the house for more than 10 days. After the examinations conducted by the teams in the house, Elif Civil's body was taken to the morgue of Kastamonu Training and Research Hospital.

Following the incident, the Kastamonu Provincial Police Department teams initiated efforts to capture the deceased woman's husband, B. Civil. As a result of the work carried out by the teams, it was determined that B. Civil was in Nasrullah Square in the city center. B. Civil was taken into custody as a murder suspect by the teams. While the person was being captured, the child I. Civil, who was with him in a stroller, was taken to the Provincial Police Department by the police teams.

After his procedures at the police station, B. Civil was referred to the judicial authorities and was arrested and sent to prison. Answering questions from the press outside the courthouse, B. Civil responded to the question, "Did you kill your wife?" with "I did not kill my wife," and to the question, "Are you regretful?" he replied, "I did not do it; it will come out soon."
