The leader of the İYİ Party, Müsavat Dervişoğlu, reacted very strongly to the call for disarmament made by the leader of the terrorist organization PKK, Abdullah Öcalan. Dervişoğlu stated, "This government is actually incorporating the PKK into the state of the People's Alliance under the guise of disbanding it."
The process that started with MHP General Chairman Devlet Bahçeli's call for the terrorist organization PKK to lay down its arms and be dissolved, the DEM Party delegation went to İmralı for the 3rd time to meet with Abdullah Öcalan. After the visit, the delegation conveyed Öcalan's message to the public.
In his message, Öcalan called for the terrorist organization PKK to lay down its arms and dissolve itself; this development caused a great stir. While support messages for the call came in, many parties and politicians also reacted.
SHARP WORDS FROM DERVİŞOĞLU
İYİ Party General Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu harshly criticized the ongoing process in his press statement.
"I greet the great Turkish Nation with respect. As citizens of the Republic of Turkey who possess national pride and consciousness, we are under the influence of a government that has lost its way to the extent of waiting for a letter from the murderer of 50 thousand of our people, a life-sentenced criminal," said Dervişoğlu, adding, "I want to note for history that this process is the product of a dirty bargain, just as dirty. Turkey is on the verge of falling into an unprecedented pit of oppression due to the ambition for position and title of a single man."
"A NEW VERSION OF BETRAYAL HAS BEEN ENACTED"
Dervişoğlu stated in his announcement, "According to this, the PYD/YPG terrorist organization, which is established in northern Syria, is actually the PKK itself. Indeed, those who claim to govern this country have said to the USA and the European Union; 'PYD/YPG is the PKK itself. You call PKK a terrorist organization and support YPG. Both are the same organization.'
Based on this reality, the call made to the imprisoned terrorist in today's dirty game is merely a call for PKK to move its office from northern Iraq to northern Syria. Previously, this government, which had to fight against the terrorists they transferred to northern Syria on Republic Day, apparently has enacted a new version of the same betrayal today," he stated.
"THE GOVERNMENT IS ACTUALLY INCORPORATING PKK INTO THE REPUBLIC ALLIANCE UNDER THE GUISE OF DISSOLUTION"
Continuing his statement, "The architects of this game must explain with whom and what bargains they have made, and what they think about the statehood in northern Syria, which they said 'We will never allow.' This is a debt of honor to our nation," Dervişoğlu concluded his remarks as follows:
"I address all citizens who have not faced the consequences of this process so far, and I hope that when they see the photos of the terrorist leader and his accomplices broadcasted on television today, when they hear the letter, they have thought of our thousands of martyrs, and brought to mind the thousands of veterans deprived of their limbs. And they have understood the deep pain they are currently experiencing with the addition of such a betrayal to the indescribable pains that their mothers, fathers, children, and spouses have lived for years.
This government, which dares to create a peace dove from a baby killer, is actually incorporating PKK into the Republic Alliance under the guise of dissolution."
