A citizen who had been missing for 15 days in Erzurum was located and picked up by a helicopter belonging to the Air Force Command. The citizen, identified as R.B., was transferred to Erzurum City Hospital for treatment after initial health checks.

A 60-year-old citizen named R.B., residing in the Hırhal hamlet of the Işkınlı neighborhood in the Çat district of Erzurum, has not been heard from for 15 days. Following a report received on March 5, 2025, the Erzurum Provincial Gendarmerie Command initiated an investigation.

TRAPPED IN HIS RESIDENCE

As a result of the investigations, it was determined that the citizen was alone in the Hırhal hamlet, and due to heavy snowfall, the road to the hamlet was blocked, leading to the conclusion that he was trapped in his residence.

RESCUED BY A HELICOPTER BELONGING TO THE AIR FORCE COMMAND

Considering the critical weather and road conditions, a rescue operation supported by air was planned in coordination with the Erzurum Provincial Gendarmerie Command and AFAD. A successful rescue operation was carried out on March 5, 2025, around 12:46 PM, using a helicopter belonging to the Air Force Command, and the citizen was evacuated safely from his location.

PLACED UNDER TREATMENT

After initial health checks, the citizen named R.B. was referred to Erzurum City Hospital for treatment.
