In the context of the investigation into those arrested during the protests in Istanbul, families of the detainees reacted to the CHP (Republican People's Party) deputy and provincial chairman. Some family members told CHP member Sezgin Tanrıkulu, "If they are releasing these young people, you need to stand in front of them." FAMILIES OF THE ARRESTED PROTESTED
After the arrest decision, some of the families of the suspects reacted harshly to the press statement made by the Republican People's Party (CHP), Diyarbakır Deputy Sezgin Tanrıkulu, Şanlıurfa Deputy Mahmut Tanal, and CHP Istanbul Provincial Chairman Özgür Çelik in front of the courthouse.
"I WOULD RATHER BREAK MY HANDS THAN SEND THEM"
Some families told CHP's Tanrıkulu, "If they are releasing these young people, you should be their shield," while another mother reacted by saying, "I would rather break my hands than send them." Another family said, "What kind of CHP is this, our children are inside," while another family expressed, "Then tell Özgür Özel to come here and gather, not in Saraçhane."
TANRIKULU DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY
As these reactions rose in front of the cameras, it was seen that Sezgin Tanrıkulu was trying to calm the families. It was observed that Tanrıkulu responded to the families who did not calm down by saying, "Go ahead, you can speak to the cameras."
