Fuel sales at gas stations will begin on June 2 through the National Vehicle Recognition System (UTTS). According to a statement from the Petroleum Products Employers' Union (PÜİS), taxpayers operating gas stations must complete the necessary registration and application processes by June 2, install vehicle recognition reader devices and communication modules at their stations, and ensure the communication of these devices with the new generation fuel pump payment recording devices to start fuel sales through UTTS.
APPLICATION MUST BE MADE BY JUNE 2
Documents not regulated under UTTS for vehicles subject to the Vehicle Recognition Unit (TTB) requirement will be considered unregulated in terms of tax laws. To prevent any loss of rights regarding tax applications, vehicle owners must complete the necessary application and registration processes for vehicles acquired through leasing or included in the business and used at work by June 2, and they must install TTB by June 30.
Furthermore, for vehicles not covered by the law and using the vehicle recognition system, TTB must be installed for tanks of vehicles running on a fuel type other than gasoline or diesel by December 31.
PÜİS President İmran Okumuş, whose views were included in the statement, also warned dealers about the new regulation regarding external sales, stating, "The regulation that imposes restrictions on external sales, which came into effect on January 1, is of great concern to our citizens as well. A significant portion of vehicles that previously used bulk fuel are now required to obtain fuel from stations. Otherwise, they will not be able to use the costs of the fuel they purchase as expenses. It is important for my colleagues to inform their customers, who are the end consumers, so that our citizens do not experience any grievances."
