The "Regulation on Amendments to the Port Regulation," prepared by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, has been published in the Official Gazette and has come into effect.

Accordingly, without stopping at any port or coastal facility, vessels and marine vehicles can anchor in designated areas at the port by informing the port authority or, if available, the Vessel Traffic Services Center or the pilotage organization via radio, without obtaining an anchoring order, in cases of waiting for sailing instructions, obtaining spare parts or technicians due to breakdowns, seeking refuge due to bad weather conditions, personnel changes, and other justified cases accepted by the port authority. The fees to be collected from these vessels will be charged in accordance with the relevant legislation, taking into account the specified periods.

VESSELS WITH A AIR DRAFT OF 64 METERS OR MORE CANNOT PASS UNDER THE BRIDGE

With the amendment, special provisions of the regulation for the Kocaeli Regional Port Authority have also been arranged.

Accordingly, the passage of vessels and marine vehicles with an air draft of 64 meters or more under the Osmangazi Bridge will be prohibited. The procedures and principles regarding the passage of vessels and marine vehicles with an air draft between 60 and 64 meters under the bridge will be determined by the administration.

With the regulation, the field coordinates of some port authorities have also been redefined.
