Faruk Bayuk, the son of Kemal Bayuk, the MHP Şanlıurfa Central District Chairman who was martyred in the first actions of the terrorist organization PKK in 1978, welcomed the organization's decision to disband. Bayuk stated, "It wasn't easy to reach these days. This country belongs to all of us, and we should live together hand in hand in brotherhood."

At that time, the terrorist organization PKK, which was called Apocular, carried out its first actions in 1977 in the Hilvan district of Şanlıurfa. After the action, a feud began between the PKK terrorist organization and the Süleyman tribe, which had significant influence in the region. A year later, in 1978, the terrorist organization, which took the name PKK, martyred 28-year-old Kemal Bayuk, one of the prominent members of the tribe and the then MHP Şanlıurfa Central District Chairman.

HE WAS 8 YEARS OLD WHEN HIS FATHER WAS MARTYRED

The PKK terrorist organization martyred Kemal Bayuk when his son Faruk Bayuk was only 8 years old. After finishing school, Bayuk became a partner in a local television channel in Şanlıurfa. During this time, he also continued in politics, serving in various positions within the AK Party. Faruk Bayuk, who is still actively involved in politics, stated that they welcomed the PKK's dissolution.

"THE END OF TERROR IN THE REGION IS AN IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENT FOR ALL OF US"

Thanking everyone who contributed to peace, Faruk Bayuk said, "Today, a significant development has indeed occurred in the region, throughout Turkey, and in the world. With this important development, we are all very happy and joyful. The PKK's self-dissolution and laying down arms, especially the end of terror in the region, is an important development for all of us. I thank everyone who contributed to this process. Because this process was not easy. Many processes have occurred from the past to the present. The country has suffered a lot. As someone who has experienced these pains, I am truly very happy today. We especially thank our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Devlet Bahçeli, and the contributions of the DEM Party group. We also remember Sırrı Süreyya Önder with mercy from here. He also made significant contributions, but he could not see this day. I wish he were here to witness this day," he said.

"NO OTHER CHILDREN SHOULD BE LEFT ORPHANED"

Stating that he lost his father when he was only 8 years old, Faruk Bayuk said, "I want to say this on behalf of myself and my family: a very beautiful and important development has occurred in the region. We are a family that has experienced these events best during the 1980s. I am someone who lost my father as a martyr during that period. From now on, I thank everyone who contributed to ensuring that mothers do not cry, children do not become orphans, and hearts do not burn. Our country is very strong, a very great country. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is a world leader. He has shown us these days. May God be pleased with him a thousand times," he expressed.

"HE SAVED THE COUNTRY FROM A GREAT CALAMITY"

Stating that they do not want to see suffering anymore, Faruk Bayuk said, "We do not want to see suffering anymore. We do not want people in the region to be victimized. We are very happy today with the hope of being a country that moves forward with stronger steps in trade and economy. The end of an event that has lasted for about 40 years should be recorded as an important development for everyone. Peace is always good; everyone needs peace. May God be pleased with everyone who contributed to this. Our President started this process suddenly and completed it. This made us happy. As someone who has lost a father as a martyr and has deeply experienced these pains, think about it: I became an orphan at the age of 8. Many mothers have become widows. There are many people who have lived these pains like me, and they are witnessing this day as well. In short, the absence of suffering is the greatest beauty, and the presence of peace is the greatest beauty. We, especially in the 1980s, suffered great losses as a family. It was not easy to reach these days. This country belongs to all of us; we should live together hand in hand in brotherhood. From now on, the country's development should be strong in the region economically. This is my only wish. Especially, the success of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will be talked about for centuries because he saved the country from a great calamity," he concluded.
