The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has temporarily removed the country's Ambassador to Paris, Jan Emeryk Rosciszewski, as part of a fake diploma investigation.
STATEMENT FROM THE MINISTRY
Ministry spokesperson Maciej Wewior announced that Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski has dismissed the ambassador until all doubts regarding Rosciszewski are resolved. Rosciszewski, who was appointed as Ambassador to Paris in 2022, is being closely monitored.
SUSPECTED DIPLOMAS
According to reports in the Polish press, a private university called "Collegium Humanum" is accused of distributing accelerated MBA, bachelor's, and master's diplomas without meeting standard academic requirements. It is claimed that these diplomas are particularly used for supervisory boards and senior positions in state-owned companies.
ALLEGATIONS AGAINST THE AMBASSADOR
It is reported that Rosciszewski used an MBA diploma obtained from the aforementioned university in order to serve on the supervisory board of a company affiliated with the state postal administration.
DENIED THE ALLEGATIONS
Rosciszewski, who was detained and later released, denied the allegations, stating, "I have never studied at Collegium Humanum and I am not a graduate of this university." Rosciszewski mentioned that he is fully cooperating with the prosecution and hopes that the truth will emerge as soon as possible.
