REASON FOR TERMINATION: RACIST AND OBSCENE SHARING
Following the developments, the reason why ETİ ended its collaboration with Turhan also became clear. The famous comedian decided to terminate the advertising agreement after reposting a social media user's post titled "I drank the wine" with obscene and racist expressions.
On the other hand, Özgür Turhan described the events in his social media post as follows:
"Dear friends, I am Özgür Turhan. I am a comedian in our beautiful country. Tomorrow, I will testify in a defamation case regarding Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca. On Saturday, I will go to the police station to sign because I have been sued by Galatasaray, and I have been going for about 9 months. With what I have experienced, the threats I have received, and the obstacles to my work seem too trivial to mention here.

ETİ unilaterally terminated the contract, claiming that they suffered losses due to the unreleased advertisements I appeared in because of the tweet I posted. They filed a compensation lawsuit against me to cover their losses from the advertisement. The amount they demanded from me, from the coffees they drank on the set to the beyran soups, totals approximately 5 million TL. The lawsuit ended up against me in a way I cannot understand.
Before our show recording on Sunday, we reviewed all the words we said regarding what is a crime and what is not. I am absolutely sure that I did not commit any crime according to our laws, yet my friends and family are counting the days until I go inside.
My friends and acquaintances are in prison just for making jokes; they have lawsuits against them.
