The incident occurred in front of the Prof. Dr. Veysel Eroğlu Sports Hall in Cumhuriyet Neighborhood. According to the information obtained, a dispute arose between minibus drivers Y.A. and Ö.Ö. over the issue of picking up passengers. The argument escalated into a fight involving knives, clubs, and guns, with both parties attacking each other.
BOTH WERE INJURED
In the incident, Ö.Ö. was injured as a result of being beaten with a club, while the other minibus driver Y.A. was shot in the legs with a gun and also stabbed, sustaining serious injuries. Following the incident, many police and medical teams were dispatched to the area after nearby residents reported the situation. The teams that arrived at the scene transported the injured to hospitals by ambulance. The police took extensive security measures in the area.
FIRST AID WAS PROVIDED BY BYSTANDERS TO THOSE WAITING FOR HELP ON THE GROUND
After the incident, moments when the injured individuals lying on the ground were waiting for help were recorded by nearby citizens with their mobile phones. In his statement, Karataş said, "Thank God there were no fatalities among our minibus drivers. Neither side has a longstanding feud. The incident developed entirely in traffic. We are sorry."
