The prosecutor's statement of Ahmet Kol, who shot and killed his brother Barış Kol with a gun at a barbershop in Samsun, has emerged. After being arrested by the court following the incident, Ahmet Kol claimed in his statement that he fired in a panic, thinking that his brother was going to shoot him.

Ahmet Kol (46), who shot and killed his brother Barış Kol (43) with a gun while he was getting a haircut in a barbershop in the İlkadım district of Samsun, was arrested by the court he was brought to.
HIS STATEMENT EMERGED
The statement of the arrested Ahmet Kol has emerged. He stated that he exercised his right to remain silent at the police station but wanted to tell the incident as it was at the prosecutor's office, saying, "Barış Kol is my brother. I have no previous feud with him. On the day of the incident, I was going to the hospital with my friend Orhan Ç. My father had cancer and was hospitalized.
Before going to the hospital, I wanted to go to the parking lot that belongs to me to collect the money that had been gathered. When I went to my workplace and parked my car, I saw my brother Barış Kol's car. Barış's men there told me that Barış was at the barbershop. After Barış got out of prison, he was constantly sending insulting messages to all family members and creating unrest within the family." he said.
"I THOUGHT HE WOULD SHOOT ME, THAT'S WHY I FIRED"
Claiming that Barış Kol sent messages like "I will shoot you, I will kill you, you dishonorable," Ahmet Kol noted:
"Some of these are on my phone. I thought he was disturbed, so I didn't respond to these for a long time. However, when I learned that he was at the barbershop on the day of the incident, I wanted to go to him. My friend Orhan was smoking at the door.
I went inside. My brother Barış was sitting with his back to me. I approached him. I said, 'What happened, are you going to shoot me?' He said, 'Yes, I will shoot you.' I said, 'Come on, let's talk.' Then I saw him pull out a gun from under the barber's cape, and he cocked the gun. Just as I realized he was about to turn towards me, I fired in panic at that moment. I don't remember how many shots I fired."
Ahmet Kol, stating that he had no intention to kill, claimed that he fired in panic thinking his brother would shoot him.

On May 27 in Samsun, Barış Kol, who was getting a haircut at a barbershop on Divitçioğlu Street in the Zafer neighborhood, was attacked by his brother Ahmet Kol with a firearm, and despite intervention, Barış K. could not be saved.
