Rüstem Elibol, who brutally murdered his ex-wife Bahar Aksu in the middle of the street in Şişli, Istanbul, stated in his first statement to the police that he had become obsessed with the young woman. It was reported that Elibol said, "I couldn't accept the divorce. I was constantly following her on social media. On the day of the incident, I wanted to meet her."

It was learned that Elibol and three of his friends were caught, and in the suspect's statement at the police station, he said, "I couldn't accept this divorce. The incident occurred at 06:30 on Kazım Orbay Street in Cumhuriyet Neighborhood. According to the information obtained, Bahar Aksu, who was on her way to work, was attempted to be kidnapped by her ex-husband Rüstem Elibol and three of his friends in a vehicle. After the woman screamed and resisted, Elibol pulled out his gun and fired 5-6 shots in quick succession at Aksu. Bahar Aksu lost her life at the scene, while the suspects fled in the vehicle they arrived in.



POLICE DETAINED THE SUSPECTS



With the notification of the surrounding people, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. After the work of the crime scene investigation teams, Aksu's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution, while her ex-husband Rüstem Elibol and three of his friends were caught and detained by the police. It was also learned that Bahar Aksu and Rüstem Elibol got married in 2019, had no children, and that Aksu had made two separate applications to the police in 2020, stating that her husband had threatened and injured her.



MURDER MOMENT CAPTURED ON CAMERA



New security camera footage related to the incident has emerged. In the footage, Bahar Aksu, who crossed the street, is seen being grabbed by her ex-husband Rüstem Elibol, while a red car with Elibol's friends approaches them, and they attempt to force Bahar Aksu into the vehicle. The footage shows Aksu resisting getting into the car, after which her ex-husband Rüstem Elibol is seen firing his gun in quick succession.



4 SUSPECTS CAUGHT



After the incident, ex-husband Rüstem Elibol and three of his friends, who fled in the same vehicle, were caught at a police checkpoint in Silivri. The suspects, who were caught by the police teams affiliated with the Silivri District Police Department, were brought to the Public Order Branch Directorate in Gayrettepe.

It was learned that in his first statement at the police station, the suspect ex-husband Rüstem Elibol, whose procedures are ongoing at the Homicide Bureau of the Public Order Branch Directorate, said he had become obsessed with the young woman, stating, "We got married in 2019.
