FANS WANT THE CLUB TO BE SOLD
The Orange-Whites Association, which consists of Adanaspor fans, has requested that Ergin Göreli, who purchased the club on December 17, 2024, resign and put the club up for sale.
In a statement regarding the issue, the Orange-Whites Association said, "The transfer of Adanaspor is essential," stating that "Our Adanaspor, which rose from the ashes like the Zümrüd-ü Anka years ago, is unfortunately once again on the brink of collapse. It is being discussed that within a six-month period, our club has been indebted much more than anticipated to players, official authorities, and the free market. This situation has seriously damaged the commercial reputation of the club.
Our club's team bus has been seized, and many of our players have filed complaints with FIFA because they have not received their payments. Unfortunately, the situation has spiraled out of control; the club is expected to receive transfer bans and point deductions.
Dear President Ergin Göleli; what you need to do is transfer the club to someone who will take care of Adanaspor, without any conditions, by offsetting the debts before the end of June. Adanaspor fans have endured enough hopeless days. The transfer is essential for the survival of Adanaspor. It is known that there are individuals ready to take over Adanaspor.
We demand that necessary steps be taken regarding the transfer of Adanaspor without wasting more time and that negotiations be held with interested parties. The Adanaspor community does not have a single day to lose!' they stated.
IT HAS ONLY BEEN 7 MONTHS SINCE HE BOUGHT THE CLUB
Ergin Göleli purchased Adanaspor from its 19-year owner Bayram Akgül 7 months ago and had stated that he would bring the club back to the Super League. However, despite all its efforts, Adanaspor could not avoid relegation.
