The court ruled that the "atatlıses" and "ahmettatlıses" brands were invalid, ordering their removal from the registry and the confiscation of related posters, advertisements, and packaging.
Recently, İbrahim Tatlıses, who has been in the public eye due to tensions with his family, is now in the spotlight for a trademark registration lawsuit. The famous artist won the case he filed against his son Ahmet Tatlıses for allegedly using the "Tatlıses" brand without permission.
"TATLISES" BRAND BECAME A LEGAL MATTER
According to allegations, Ahmet Tatlıses applied to the Turkish Patent Institute using the "Tatlıses" brand belonging to his father in his favor and secured the registration of both the "atatlıses" and "ahmettatlıses" brands. Additionally, during this process, he began to use the brand in a way that differs from its registered form by opening restaurants under the name "Tatlıses Kebap."
According to Hürriyet's report, İbrahim Tatlıses stated that the brand rights belonging to Tatlıses Productions were used without permission following these developments. Moreover, according to the artist's claim, the company's trademark patent attorney also provided consulting services to Ahmet Tatlıses independently of the company during this process.
COURT: BRANDS INVALID, SEIZE POSTERS AND PACKAGING
At the end of a nearly two-year lawsuit at the Istanbul Intellectual and Industrial Rights Court, the court ruled in favor of İbrahim Tatlıses and made a striking decision. The ruling stated that the "atatlıses" and "ahmettatlıses" brands registered by Ahmet Tatlıses were deemed invalid and ordered to be removed from the official registry. Additionally, it was decided to seize advertisements, posters, and packaging featuring these brands.

The Tatlıses family has frequently been in the news in recent years due to both their private lives and commercial disputes.
