The DEM Party provided information regarding the ongoing treatment process of Ahmet Türk, the co-mayor of Mardin Metropolitan Municipality. It was announced that Türk, whose health status has been the subject of new claims, has completed his chemotherapy process and has started radiotherapy.
Ahmet Türk, who is part of the DEM Party's delegation in İmralı, has been receiving treatment at a hospital in Ankara for some time. The DEM Party made a statement regarding Türk's current condition.

In the social media post, it was stated, "Our co-chair of Mardin Metropolitan Municipality, Ahmet Türk, who has been receiving treatment for a while, has successfully gone through the chemotherapy process and has started radiotherapy. We sincerely believe that he will return to the ongoing peace efforts as soon as possible, and we once again send our best wishes to him."
WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
Ahmet Türk, who was elected as the co-chair of Mardin Metropolitan Municipality in the local elections on March 31, was removed from office and a trustee was appointed in his place. As part of the new resolution process, Türk participated in the third meeting with PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan on İmralı Island on February 27, but he was not part of the DEM Party delegation in the meeting held yesterday.
In a statement made by the DEM Party regarding the issue, it was expressed that Ahmet Türk's routine treatment process continues due to health issues, and there is no new negative development in his health condition.
According to the information obtained, 82-year-old Ahmet Türk was diagnosed with lung cancer about three months ago.
